Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of ClaimJar (the "Service"), operated by ClaimJar (ABN 75 331 735 840). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them.

What the Service does

ClaimJar helps you capture receipts, reads them with AI, and produces accountant-ready spreadsheets and exports. It is a productivity and record-keeping tool.

Not tax advice

ClaimJar is not a registered tax agent and does not provide tax, accounting or financial advice. Deduction suggestions, GST flags, claimable totals and tax-saving figures are general information and estimates only, generated automatically. What you can actually claim depends on your circumstances. Always confirm with your accountant or the ATO before lodging. We are not responsible for your lodgement or its outcome.

Your account

You're responsible for the information you provide, for keeping your login secure, and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

Your content

You keep ownership of the receipts and data you upload. You grant us the limited licence needed to store and process them to provide the Service (including sending them to our AI provider to be read). You're responsible for ensuring the data you upload is accurate and that you're entitled to upload it.

Acceptable use

Don't use the Service for anything unlawful, don't upload others' data without permission, and don't attempt to disrupt, scrape, reverse-engineer or misuse it.

Plans, payment & refunds

The free plan includes a limited number of receipts. Pro is billed via Stripe at the price shown at sign-up (currently $3.99/month or $35/year, inc. GST) and renews until cancelled. You can cancel anytime and keep Pro until the end of the paid period. Because it's a digital service made available immediately, we don't generally offer refunds for the current period except where required by the Australian Consumer Law.

Availability

We work hard to keep the Service running but provide it "as is" and may change, suspend or discontinue features. We don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that AI extraction will be 100% accurate — that's why you review before exporting.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can't be excluded. Subject to those rights, to the extent permitted by law our liability is limited to re-supplying the Service (or the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months), and we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including any tax outcome.

Termination

You can stop using and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.

Governing law & changes

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. We may update them from time to time; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. Questions: support@claimjar.com.au.
